COVERAGE LINKS

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Off its largest margin of victory since the 2020-21 season, Henderson State continues its non-conference home stand with the Dallas Baptist Patriots coming to Arkadelphia Saturday, Nov. 26. Tip-off from the Duke Wells Center is set for 3 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
Henderson scored a season-high 92 points Tuesday against Williams Baptist while holding the Eagles to their second fewest points of the year in the 25-point victory. The Reddies shot 54.2 percent in the triumph while holding WBU to 41.0 percent. In both of HSU's wins this season, it has shot 43.9 percent or better; in the two losses, 36.5 percent or worse.

Senior Franck Kamgain continues to lead the team in scoring after tallying a team-high 16 points against Williams Baptist, marking his third double-digit outing this season. The Kansas City, Missouri native is averaging 14.0 points per game, followed by Malik Riddle with 10.3 ppg. Riddle is also tied for second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.

Henderson continues to be among the better half in the league in rebounding and winning the turnover battle. At 39.5 rebounds per game, HSU is fifth in the conference while playing the second most games of any other team in the Top-5 in that category. The Reddies are also fifth in the GAC with a 3.25 turnover margin.

Individually, three Henderson players are among the Top-20 in the league in rebounding with KJ Stewart (5.8 rebounds per game), Riddle (5.5 rpg) and Tomislav Miholjcic (5.5 rpg) standing at 15th, 16th and 17th, respectively. Defensively, newcomer Clarence King is 18th in the league with 1.3 steals per outing.

Last year, Henderson traveled to Dallas, Texas where they defeated Dallas Baptist, 78-75. Alvin Miles was the leading scorer among this year's returners, scoring six points and pulling down four rebounds. One thing the coaching staff will have to do is replace 57 points worth of former players from last year's squad.

SCOUTING DALLAS BAPTIST
The Patriots improved to 3-3 after defeating GAC-foe No. 16 Southern Nazarene at home Wednesday, 74-71. Dallas Baptist's offense shot 52.0 percent from the field, including 41.2 percent from behind the three-point line. Junior guard Ricky Lujan led all scorers with a game-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting.

Dallas Baptist is averaging 70.8 points per game while holding opponents to 68.5 points per game through six games. Conversely, HSU is averaging 71.8 points per game and holding the opposition to 70.0 points per game through four games. The Patriots are shooting at a high rate, hitting at a 47.9 percent clip.
