DAY 2 RESULTS
CLEVELAND, Mississippi – Two more Henderson school records fell on day two of the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships as the Red Wave men sit in second place currently with 408 points. The Red Wave women are in third with 254 points as both men and women broke records on the day.

For the men,
Jase Pinckney got second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 47.24, breaking
Stephen Jones' school record of 47.34 set last season. The HSU-record breaking time yielded a 'B' cut for Pinckney. Joining Pinckney with a 'B' cut was
Patryk Dabrowski, who topped the podium in the 200 free with a 1:38.59 time.

Dabrowski was not the only 200 free-swimmer for the Red Wave to earn a time warranting consideration for Nationals. Freshman
Tate Sloan saw his best 200 free time of his inaugural HSU season, touching the wall at 1:39.16 for a second-place finish behind Dabrowski.

Rounding out the Red Wave men's winners was the 400 medley relay team of
Lamar Taylor,
Oscar Patten, Pinckney and Dabrowski, defeating second-place Delta State by 52 hudredths of a second, 3:17.44 to 3:17.96. This year marks the first time DSU has lost the 400 medley relay at conference since 2012.

On the Red Wave women's side, freshman
Emma Jorgensen crushed the previous 400 IM HSU school record of 4:32.53 that was set in 2013, going for a second-place time of 4:29.70, earning herself a 'B' cut. Fellow freshman
Kiara Pozvai also earned a 'B' cut for her performance in the 200 free, claiming a spot in second with a 1:49.70 time.

The 400 medley relay team for the women found its way onto the podium, coming in at second after seeing a 3:49.55 time as the grouping of
Aimee Miller,
Jessica Bongfeldt,
Isabelle Andrews and Pozvai defeated third-place West Florida by more than a second.

Day three of the NSISIC Championships in Cleveland, Mississippi, will follow the same schedule as the previous two days with prelims in the morning and the finals taking place in the evening.
