RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - For the second time in as many tournaments, Allie Bianchi of No. 6 Henderson State women's golf was named the Great American Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Bianchi's encore performance to her first Player of the Week accolade of 2023 featured a tied-for-first finish at the Central Regional Preview with a 36-hole score of 2-under 142. After birdying the Par 5, 439-yard 18th to force a playoff, Bianchi would eventually fall to Central Missouri's Mia Rallo after two playoff holes.

With two tournaments in the books, the two-time 2023 GAC Player of the Week is carrying a team-best stroke average of 72.60, with two of her five competitive rounds this season being at or below par.

Bianchi and No. 6 Henderson State will return to familiar Hot Springs Country Club for their next tournament as the Battle for the Belt will take place Oct. 8-9. Last year at this event, Bianchi placed second with a 54-hole score of 6-over 222.
