RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.  —  Henderson State's Tim McDonald has been named the most recent recipient of the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week Award.

The senior from Marion, Arkansas, earned the honor after recording three blocks, five steals, and eight rebounds in Thursday's Battle of the Ravine showdown with Ouachita Baptist. Later in the week, he added three more boards in an 87-62 win over Arkansas-Monticello.

McDonald is the second Reddie to earn GAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition this season, joining teammate Matthew Mayes.

Tim and his Reddie teammates will be back at the Duke Wells Center to face Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday, February 20. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
