EDMOND, Okla. — Henderson State sits in a tie for eighth place after the first day of the Oak Tree Invitiational in Edmond, Oklahoma. Nine of the 17 teams in the field - including the Reddies - will have to finish the second round on Tuesday, Mar. 18, after Monday's competition was halted due to darkness.
As a team, HSU has shot 46-over 595 thus far.
No. 38 UT-Tyler tops the team leaderboard at 23-over 583 after day one. No. 6 Central Oklahoma is in second with a score of 32-over 592, while hosting No. 7 Oklahoma Christian holds third at 36-over 596.
Freshman Maxime Lam boasts Henderson's top individual score at six-over 146: a score good for a share of 10th place in the tournament's individual standings.
Ethan Wilkins (13-over 146), Philipp Pakosch (14-over 150), Jacob Knowlton (15-over 155), and Alex Hadden (16-over 149) are all in 49th place or better amongst the tournament's 100 golfers.
The Reddies will close out the remaining holes of the second round tomorrow morning before wrapping up their time at Oak Tree Country Club with the third and final round of the event later in the day.
