Reddies Finish Sixteenth at Skip Wagnon Invitational

EDMOND, Okla. – Henderson State men's golf returned to Kickingbird Golf Club Tuesday for the final round of the Skip Wagnon Invitational. The Reddies finished in 16th place with a score of 15 over par.

Central Oklahoma (-40) took home first place in its own tournament, followed by Oklahoma Christian (-33), Harding (-25), Arkansas Tech (-21), and Hutchinson Community College and Missouri Western (-16).

Brandon Yabandith led the Reddies on Tuesday with a solid bounce-back day, shooting a five-under par 65. The freshman had six birdies on the day, including four on a clean back nine; he finished the tournament in a tie for 33rd place at one under.

Brode Horton, conversely, dropped a shot from his five under Monday after a round of one-over 71. The Royal, Arkansas native shot even par on the front nine with one birdie and one bogey before a one-over 36 on the back nine, including two birdies and a double bogey. Horton finished tied for 24th place, highest among the Henderson State team.

Alex Cuadrado managed a two-over 72 on Tuesday. The Spaniard moved two places up the leaderboard and finished in a tie for 59th place. Cuadrado carded three birdies, three bogeys, and a double bogey.

Reece Johnson used a steady back nine to finish with a three-over 73. The Little Rock native scored a birdie and a bogey on the back nine to finish even par, but a double bogey on the par-four eighth
hole was the difference on the front side.

Marcos Park rounded out the scoring for the Reddies after a three-over 73. His card was similar to Johnson's, but with the nines switched: his front nine was relatively clean, with a birdie and two bogeys before two birdies, two bogeys, and a double ended the tournament for the Brazilian.

Reddie men's golf will be back in action October 19th and 20th as they conclude their fall season at the MSSU Fall Invitational in Joplin, Missouri.
