EDMOND, Okla. — Henderson State recorded the second-best third-round score in the field to finish fifth at the Oak Tree Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Tuesday.
The Reddies posted an overall team score of 70-over 910 for the event.
No. 38 UT-Tyler took home first-place honors by shooting 53-over 893 as a group. No. 6 Central Oklahoma clinched second at 58-over 898, while No. 7 Oklahoma Christian - the tournament's host - rounded out the podium with a score of 59-over 899. In a breakout performance, Cameron claimed fourth by going 65-over 905. Midwestern State's Seth Bearden secured first place in the individual standings by becoming the only golfer to complete the competition under par (one-under 209).
Maxime Lam cracked the top 10 for a second consecutive tournament with a score of 13-over 223 - an outing that earned him a share of 10th place in the 100-athlete field.
Philipp Pakosch tied for 24th place at 19-over 229. Jacob Knowlton also reached the top 30 after putting up a three-round score of 20-over 230.
HSU has now finished in the top five at six different tournaments during the 2024-25 season.
The Reddies will be back on the road next week as they compete at the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas. The event will tee off at Wichita Falls Country Club on Monday, Mar. 24.
