Women Lead, Men in Second Heading to Final Day at GAC Championships

WOMEN'S LEADERBOARD | MEN'S LEADERBOARD

FORTH SMITH, ARK. — Both Henderson State golf programs will enter Wednesday's final round at the 2025 GAC Championships firmly in the mix after strong showings in round two.

The Reddie women not only maintained their lead, but expanded on it, and shot 15-over 295 on Tuesday to open up a 15 stroke advantage on second place Harding. HSU is 35-over 595 for the tournament and the only team under 600 strokes. Henderson is in search of its fifth consecutive conference title.

Felisa Sajulga and Lily Nelson are both in the race for the individual GAC championship and are tied for second place at 6-over for the event. Sajulga fired a 1-over 71 Tuesday and Nelson carded a 3-over 73.

On the men's side, HSU is in second place with 18 holes left to play after shooting 2-over 282 in the second round. Arkansas Tech shot 3-under as a team on Tuesday and leads the Reddies by three shots.

Philipp Pakosch had the low round of the day for any Henderson golfer with a 1-under 69. He is tied for fifth place overall with Maxime Lam, who shot 1-over 71 in round two. Ethan Wilkins is in third place individually and shot even par 70 Tuesday with six birdies on his card.

Both the Reddie men and women tee off the final round of play at the Hardscrabble Country Club tomorrow morning at 9:20 a.m.
