FIREKEEPER OPEN LEADERBOARD
MAYETTA, Kan. – Henderson State's men shot 19-over 572 on Monday to settle into 10th place after nearly two rounds of play.
In the first round, the Reddies shot a solid 8-over (296) to take sole possession of fifth place. The field was paced by Central Oklahoma who shot a 3-under 285. Graduate student Philipp Pakosch and junior Cooper Williams led the way for the Reddies by shooting a pair of 1-over 73s, good for a share of 20th. Pakosch was able to keep a tidy card, with two birdies and no double bogey's, while Williams eagled the Par 5, No. 6 hole.
Most of the Reddie golfers still have a hole or two left before the chapter closes on the second round, but through 16 holes, Henderson sits at 11-over 276. Thus far, Pakosch has led the way shooting a 1-over 65 with 2 holes left. The only Reddie that completed his entire second round was Senior Alex Hadden, who was competing as an individual. Hadden finished with a 1-over 73, bringing his two round score to 12-over 156.
Thirteen of the 19 teams competing, including Henderson State, will finish their second rounds tomorrow morning at Firekeeper Golf Course.
