FINAL LEADERBOARDS
MAYETTA, Kan. – Henderson State's men saved their best for last, as they shot a 4-over 292 to close out the Firekeeper Open.Â
The Reddies finished the tournament in a share of sixth place with Winona State and climbed four spots on the leaderboard on Tuesday. Their score of 23-over 887 for three rounds helped the Reddies finish as the highest placing GAC team in the event.
Freshman Maxime Lam caught fire in the third round, shooting an outstanding 5-under 67, which was tied for the best round of the entire tournament by any player. The freshman finished 4-over (220) for the tournament and tied for 16th overall.
All five of the Reddies competing in the team event finished inside the Top-50. In the final round of the event, Alex Hadden repeated his efforts from the second round and shot a 1-over 73, while Jacob Knowlton shot a 2-over 74.Â
This event concludes the men's regular season. Henderson will now turn its attention to the 2025 GAC Championships on April 21-23 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Reddies have won the last three league titles dating back to 2022.
