Maddox Davis Named GAC Offensive Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Henderson State wide receiver Maddox Davis has been named the GAC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. This marks Henderson's first award winner of the 2025 season.

Davis, a freshman from Benton, Arkansas, hauled in nine catches for 219 yards and a touchdown. The 94-yard touchdown reception came on just the second offensive play of the game by the Reddies, and was one of five catches Davis made that resulted in gains of 20 or more yards.

Davis is the first true freshman to be named player of the week by the conference since East Central's Kenny Hrncir earned the honor in November of 2019. The Reddies currently own the best passing offense in the league, while Davis leads the league in receiving yards, currently averaging 106 yards per game.

The Reddies head to Monticello this week to take on UAM. Kickoff from Cotton Boll Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m.
