Reddie Golf in Tenth After Two Rounds at Mule Invitational

TEAM LEADERBOARD | PLAYER LEADERBOARD

WARRENSBURG, Mo. –  The opening tournament of the 2025-26 golf season got underway Monday, as the Henderson State Reddies joined 19 other central region teams at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri for the Mule Invitational.

After 36 holes of play, the Reddies find themselves in 10th place with a score of 25-over par; Central Oklahoma ran away with the opening rounds, leading the tournament with a team score of 16-under par. Only the Bronchos and host Central Missouri finished the day with scores under par.

In the morning round, Alex Cuadrado led the way for HSU with a round of even par 70; he followed that up with a 5-over par 75 in the afternoon's second round. The freshman from Madrid, Spain had one birdie in each of the day's rounds.

Cooper Williams had a solid start to the day with a 71 in the morning, and spent a good portion of the second round in the top five on the individual leaderboard. Two bogeys in his last three holes gave the senior a round of 72. The Crossett native is the top scoring Reddie, sitting alone in 21st place.

Jacob Knowlton got off to a rocky start with a 10-over par 80 in round one, but battled back with three birdies in round two en route to a four-over 74.

Brode Horton, like Knowlton, struggled in the morning round with a 79. The Hot Springs sophomore, however, would shoot the best score for Henderson in round two, birdieing his first and 12th holes of the round to turn in a scorecard of 71. Horton made the largest leap of any Reddie between the rounds, moving up 25 spots on the leaderboard.

Colin Purifoy had a solid opening round 73, but struggled with a seven hole stretch on Mules National's front nine to register an 80 in round two.

Tuesday will feature the tournament's final 18 holes, with both team and individual champions being crowned.
