Henderson State Wraps Up Road Trip with Matchup at Southeastern

2025-26 Men's Basketball Game Notes

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State wraps up its three game road trip with a visit to Durant, Oklahoma Saturday to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State. Henderson is looking to break a four-game losing skid and to even its record in road games on the year.

HSU started Thursday's game at East Central on a 7-0 run and led for the first five minutes of the game before the Tigers took the lead for good at the 14:49 mark of the first half.

In a rare break from this season's norm, the Reddies bench was outscored 28-21, while East Central won the battle of points in the paint 40-36. Neither team was efficient from three-point range, but HSU made only one fewer three-pointer than ECU. The four made threes by the Reddies were the most since December 13, 2025 at Harding, when the team made six three pointers.

Speaking of the Harding game, Henderson's 59 points scored in Thursday's game were the fewest scored by the team since the match up in Searcy. The 74.7 points per game average ranks sixth in the conference for a Reddies team that led the league in scoring through the first half of the season.

Scouting Southeastern Oklahoma

Southeastern Oklahoma enters Saturday's game on a five-game losing skid. The Savage Storm has lost eight out of its last ten games, but is 1-0 against the Reddies this season after a 74-70 win in Arkadelphia back in December.

The Storm ranks twelfth in the GAC in scoring defense; Southeastern allows 81.8 points per game and is the only team in the league to allow more than 80 points per game.

SEOSU has always been a high-volume three-point shooting team, and this season is no different: the team leads the GAC in made three-point field goals, knocking down 9.1 per game, but they also allow opponents to shoot 38.6 percent from distance, which ranks twelfth in the conference.

Last Matchup: Henderson State let a nine-point halftime lead slip away Thursday night, falling 74–70 to Southeastern Oklahoma State in its Great American Conference opener
at the Duke Wells Center. The Reddies controlled the first half behind 50% shooting and a burst of early energy that produced a 41–32 advantage at the break. But Southeastern Oklahoma flipped the game after halftime, outscoring HSU 42–29 while shooting a scorching 61.5% from the field and 50% from three in the second half.
