Henderson State shot just 26 percent from the field in the second half as Texas-Permian Basin downed the Lady Reddies 84-65, Thursday in Odessa, Texas.
Destiny Smith scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Lady Reddies, while Cheree Freeman scored 13 points and grabbed 6 boards.
After leading 38-36 at the half, Henderson State opened the second half with a 44-39 lead after Smith hit the back end of a pair of free throws with 17:01 to play.
Henderson State, 7-2 on the season, would be held scoreless for the next five minutes as UTPB went on a 16-0 run to take a 55-44 lead.
The Lady Reddies never recovered as Henderson made just 8-of-31 field goals in the second half, and failed to make any of its six attempts from beyond the 3-point arc.
UTPB's Taniqua Ards scored a game-high 22 points while Tammy Acosta added 18 points as the Falcons improved to 9-4 on the year.
Henderson ended the game shooting 35 percent from the field making 23-of-65 shots, while UTPB hit on 31-of-65 attempts for 48 percent.
The Lady Reddies will conclude their non-conference portion of the schedule on Saturday when they face Oklahoma-Panhandle State at 4 p.m. in Goodwell, Texas.
