Henderson State picked up its first win of the 2012 tennis season with a 6-3 victory over Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Ark. this past weekend.

The Lady Reddies, 1-4 on the season, won four of the six singles matches with Lucia Andrade starting things off with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Lauren Barnard at No. 1 singles.

At No. 4 singles, Tyler Reeves downed Rebecca Hensley, 6-3 and 6-0, while Emily Eggleston and Tori Morehead made quick work of the opposition.

Eggleston won at No. 5 singles beating Autumn Foster (6-0, 6-0), while Morehead was victorious at No. 6 singles downing LaDonna Sullivan (6-0, 6-0).

After losing at No. 1 doubles, the Lady Reddies rebounded to win at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the match.

Reaves and Eggleston paired to beat Barnard and Hensley 8-3, with Still and Morehead having no troubles with Foster and Jordan White recording an 8-1 victory.
