Box Score Box Score

BETHANY, Okla.
– The Henderson State women's basketball team saw their five-game winning streak end on Saturday afternoon as Southern Nazarene used a second half comeback to defeat the Lady Reddies by a score of 64-60.

Despite the loss, the Lady Reddies (8-3, 3-2 GAC) received a pair of individual efforts that have become regular of late as senior forward Destiny Smith recorded another double-double and junior guard Krystal Beachum had another offensively explosive game.

For Smith, her 10-point, 12-rebound game on Saturday marks her third straight and sixth overall double-double on the season. For Beachum, after establishing a career-high in scoring (33 points) just three games ago, the Mexia, Texas product threatened that mark against Southern Nazarene as she finished with a game-high 29 points on the strength of 9-of-17 shooting.

The Lady Reddies will look to rebound from this loss on Thursday, January 10th as they will play host to Harding University. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 5:30 pm inside the Duke Wells Center.
