Henderson State totaled 20 runs with the help of 19 hits as the Lady Reddies beat Ouachita Baptist, 9-5 and 11-0, Saturday at Dee White Field in Arkadelphia, Ark.
With the win, Henderson State improved to 8-10 overall and 2-0 in the Great American Conference, while OBU fell to 6-12 and 0-2 in the GAC.
Sarah Gipson and
Amy Halter had four hits each in the twin bill, with Halter having a double and four runs batted in.
Amber Wilburn went 3-for-5 for the Lady Reddies, scoring four runs while driving in a pair of runs.
Katey Gorsage also had a productive day going 3-for-7 at the plate with a double and two runs scored.
Kayla Williams picked up the win in the first game improving to 4-2 on the season. Williams gave up six hits and struck out three batters.
Kasey Carlock improved to 4-5 on the year picking up the win in game two. Carlock allowed just three hits while striking out two batters.
Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist will finish the four-game series with a double-header on Sunday at Dee White Field with the first pitch set for Noon.
