Katey Gorsage's two-run single in the bottom of the sixth-inning lifted Henderson State to a 4-3 win over Washburn, Sunday at the UAM Classic in Monticello, Ark.

Hali Kizer led off the inning by reaching on an error by Washburn third-baseman Alex Zordel. After
Shelbie Palmore reached on a base on balls,
Amy Halter flew out to right field. Gorsage then stepped up to the plate and belted a shot to right field to score both Kizer and Palmore.
Washburn took a 1-0 lead in the first-inning and added a second run in the third frame when Lauren Thimmesch hit a solo home run.
Henderson State, 1-5 on the season, tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the third-inning as the Lady Reddies put together four hits.
Laura Beth Ray began the inning with a single and then stole second base.
Laura Mabary and Allison Waggoner both followed with base hits to score Ray.
Amber Wilburn then plated Mabary with the fourth single of the inning for the Lady Reddies.
Kayla Williams pitched six innings and struck out three batters to pick up her first win of the season, while
Stephanie Johnson pitched the final inning to get credit for a save.
Henderson State finished the tournament 1-3 after losing to Washburn (10-2) and Newman (8-3) on Saturday. Prior to their win on Sunday over Washburn, the Lady Reddies lost to Cameron 7-2.
Kailey Johnson led Henderson State in the four-game event going 4-for-8 with a doubles, while Wilburn was 3-for-7 with a home run and two runs batted in.
Also having four hits in the tournament was Mabary who also had two doubles in 11 at bats.
The Lady Reddies will next travel to Durant, Okla. to participate in the Southeastern Oklahoma Shootout beginning Friday, Feb. 8. Henderson State will begin the three-day event with a game against St. Mary's at 10 a.m., followed by a meeting with Lincoln at 2 p.m.
On Saturday, Henderson State will face Angelo State at Noon, and then take on Missouri Western State at 4 p.m.
Sunday's schedule includes a rematch with Cameron at 2 p.m., with the Lady Reddies concluding the tournament against Missouri Southern at 4 p.m.
