Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Hali Kizer's two-run double in the fourth-inning lifted Henderson State to a 3-1 win over Arkansas Tech, Saturday at Chartwells Women's Complex in Russellville, Ark.

With no score in the fourth-inning, Amber Wilburn led off the inning and was hit by a Shanna Davidson pitch. Two batters later, Kayla Williams doubled to centerfield to put runners on second and third.

After a ground out, Kizer came up with the big two-out hit which proved to be all HSU would need.

Sarah Gipson provided the Lady Reddies an insurance run with a solo home run in the fifth-inning. It was Gipson's fourth home run of the season.

Williams went the distance in the circle, striking out four batters while improving to 5-3 on the year.

Arkansas Tech won game one of the series 9-1. Laura Mabary, Katey Gorsage, and Williams had two hits each in the loss.

The two teams will finish the four-game series on Sunday with the first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.
