LADY REDDIES END REGULAR SEASON WITH 88-58 WIN OVER SAU

Henderson State ended its regular-season with an 88-58 beating of Southern Arkansas, Saturday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Lady Reddies jumped out to a 15-0 lead before SAU finally scored at the 12:35 mark in the opening half.

Henderson State, 13-13 overall and 8-12 in the Great American Conference, continued its dominance of SAU as the Lady Reddies built a 44-22 halftime lead limiting the Lady Muleriders to just 22 percent shooting in the half (7-of-32).

The onslaught continued in the second-half as every Lady Reddie who was in uniform scored.

Destiny Smith ended the game recording her 10th double-double of the year, scoring 20 points while grabbing 11 rebounds along with her lone career 3-point field goal.

Krystal Beachum added 17 points, with Augelique Sledge scoring 13 points.

Dulincia Keener just missed recording a double-double as she ended with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Sheay Longstaff, playing her last game at the Duke Wells Center ended the game with 8 points including a pair of trifectas.

 Southern Arkansas, 0-25 and 0-20 in the GAC, was led by Bria Snowden and Lauren Jay who both scored 13 points.

Henderson State ended the game shooting 48 percent making 31-of-64 shots from the floor. SAU was limited to 30 percent shooting converting on just 19-of-64 field goals.

Henderson State will now travel to Bartlesville, Okla. for the Great American Conference Tournament. The Lady Reddies will face second-seeded Southwestern Oklahoma on Thursday beginning at 2:30 p.m.
