Henderson State split a pair of games with Southern Nazarene as the Lady Reddies were shutout 3-0 in game one, but rebounded to win game two 8-5, Friday in softball action in Bethany, Okla.
After managing just four hits in the opener, the Lady Reddies gathered 14 hits in game two.
Eight different players had hits for the Lady Reddies with six players having two hits each.
Sarah Gipson led the way going 2-for-4 with three runs batted in, while
Hali Kizer was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Laura Mabary also had two hits with a double and two runs scored with
Amy Halter,
Amber Wilburn, and
Shelbie Palmore all having two hits each.
Cagen Medlock picked up the complete game win to improve to 3-3 on the season. Medlock struck out four batters, allowed six hits and five unearned runs.
In the opener, both teams managed just four hits each, but SNU put three hits together scoring two runs in the fourth-inning and got a solo home run from Courtney Wiley in the fifth.
Henderson State, 20-28 overall and 14-16 in the Great American Conference will complete the regular-season schedule with a double-header Saturday against Southern Nazarene beginning at Noon.
