Box Score
After combining for 15 runs in the first two games, Henderson State failed to score a run as Southeastern Oklahoma shutout the Lady Reddies 8-0, Saturday at the Great American Conference Softball Tournament in Bentonville, Ark.

The game was delayed 28 hours as thunderstorms on Friday pushed games back a day, with Saturday's games being delayed four hours due to weather and poor playing conditions.

SEOSU, ranked No. 3 nationally, scored five runs on five hits in the third-inning.

Paige Priest started things reaching on an infield single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jessica Simmons.

With Priest on second, Lacie Cook laced a single to left field and stole second to put runners on second and third with one out.

Courtney Riddle was then hit by a Kayla Williams pitch to load the bases for Courtney Moore. Moore took Williams' first offering up the middle for a single to score two runs.

Whitney Hamilton kept things going for the Savage Storm with a double off the centerfield wall to score two more runs.

Following the double by Hamilton, Cagen Medlock entered the game to pitch for HSU.

Mindy McElroy greeted Medlock with a single to advance Hamilton to third. Hamilton then scored the fifth run on a sacrifice fly by Lauren Renneker before Darrian Williams popped up to catcher Katie Hulan to end the inning.

Southeastern Oklahoma, 43-7 on the season, added a run in the fourth-inning on a Courtney Moore single which plated Cook who led off the inning with a base hit.

Henderson State, 22-31 on the year, mounted a scoring threat in the fifth-inning as Katey Gorsage roped a singled down the left field line. With one out, Morgan South singled through the left field side to put runners on first and second.

After Hulan flew out to second for out number two, Kailey Johnson was hit by a pitch to load the bases. McElroy, however, got out of the jam as she got Laura Maybary to ground out to second to end the inning.

Southeastern invoked the eight-run rule scoring single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

McElroy pitched the entire game for Southeastern striking out four batters to improve to 21-2 on the season.

Williams was tabbed with the loss for Henderson State, falling to 13-14.

Henderson State ended the game with six hits with Sarah Gipson leading the way having two hits including a double. Gorsage, Williams, Morgan South and Amy Halter all had singles for the Lady Reddies.

Henderson State will play an elimination game against the Ouachita Baptist/East Central winner, Sunday at Noon. The winner will advance to the championship game to face Southeastern Oklahoma at 2 p.m.
