Henderson State had its six-game winning streak come to an end as 8th-ranked Harding used a 36-point performance from Kristen Celsor to beat the Lady Reddies 92-75, Thursday in Searcy, Ark.
Harding, 13-0 overall and 5-0 in the Great American Conference, scored 25 points off of 19 HSU turnovers and outrebounded the Lady Reddies 44 to 33.
Four Lady Reddies scored in double-figures led by
Aungelique Sledge who had 18 points, all in the first-half.
Jasmine Settles followed with 15 points, while
Tiara Davis scored 11 with
Vanessa Pieper adding 10.
Dulincia Keener led HSU in rebounding with 9, to go along with 8 points.
Henderson State, 8-3 overall and 3-2 in the Great American Conference, pulled down just six offensive rebounds and totaled 5 second chance points.
Henderson State ended the game hitting on 27-of-58 from the field for a shooting percentage of 47, while Harding converted on 31-of-65 shooting for 48 percent.
Henderson State will return home Saturday to face Arkansas Tech with tipoff set for 2 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.
