Henderson State will play host to Sioux Falls in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs, Saturday, Nov. 21 with kickoff set for 4 p.m. at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium.

The Reddies, ranked No. 8 in the AFCA Coaches Poll, are coming off a 21-17 victory over Ouachita Baptist last Saturday to improve to 10-1 on the season. Henderson enters the post season on a nine-game winning streak.
Henderson State becomes only the second Division II institution in Arkansas to advance to the NCAA Division II playoff three times. Arkansas Tech advanced to NCAA post season play as part of the Gulf South Conference in 1999, 2004, and 2009.Â

Henderson's offense averages just 372.5 yards per contest which ranks 10th in the GAC.
Dallas Hardison completed 22-of-30 passes for 229 yards last week against Ouachita Baptist.

The junior from Bentonville has completed 192-of-307 passes for 2105 yards for a 62.5 percentage. Hardison's passing yardage this season ranks eighth in HSU history.

Jaquan Cole leads the Reddie ground game having totaled 972 yards on 173 carries. The junior from Duncanville, Texas totaled 89 yards on 25 carries against OBU. Cole needs just 28 yards to become the 10th Reddie to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season.

Running back
Rodney Bryson rushed for 45 yards on 7 attempts last week and has increased his numbers this season to 369 yards on 84 tries.  Â
Seven Reddie receivers have 100 or more yards this season led by
JaVante Mack who has totaled 42 receptions for 452 yards and four touchdowns.     Â

Corey Chappell had perhaps one of his best games of the year last week against the Tigers having five catches for 89 yards. The senior from Rowlett, Texas has totaled 395 yards on the year.               Â
Henderson's defense has been instrumental in the Reddies' championship run. The Reddies have limited opponents to a GAC best 302.0 yards of offense and 14.6 points per game.        Â
Gary Vines had a big role last week against OBU having eight tackles including seven solo stops. The junior from North Little Rock has 61 stops this year and has three interceptions to his credit.

Josh Davis and
Lawson Schulz lead the Reddie defense with Davis having 83 tackles along with a team-best 11.5 tackles for lost yardage. The junior from El Dorado, Ark. also has seven pass break-ups and seven quarterback hurries.

Schulz has totaled 80 tackles with 9.0 tackles for lost yardage as well as six pass breakups and five quarterback hurries.

Sioux Falls is ranked 16th nationally and enters the post season with a 9-2 record following its 69-20 win over Upper Iowa. The Cougars are making their first-ever NCAA Division II playoff appearance.

The USF offense averages 41.5 points and 476.6 yards of total offense per game and features a versatile quarterback in Luke Papilion.

The junior from Denver, Colo. has completed 210-of-360 passes for 2905 yards and 30 touchdowns. Papilion also leads the ground game having rushed for 787 yards with six touchdowns.

Max Mickey and Justin Fulks also highlight the USF backfield with Mickey averaging 60.3 yards per game with a team-best nine touchdowns, while Fulks averages 51.2 yards per game with three scores.

The Cougars are deep at the receiver position with seven receivers having 100 or more receiving yards.

Brady Rose leads the receiving corps with 61 catches for 868 yards and 10 touchdowns, while teammate Josh Angulo has 53 catches for 832 yards and 8 scores.

Defensively, USF allows 369.6 yards per game with opponents averaging just 21.3 points.
Defensive back Josh Butler leads the Cougar defense having 95 total tackles including 8 pass breakups.

Linebacker Carter Ahlers follows with 89 tackles along with 8 tackles for lost yardage.

Solomon St. Pierre is one of the top defensive backs in the country having nine interceptions this season which ranks third nationally. Pierre has 22 his career picks. The All-American cornerback from Wagner, S.D., ranks first nationally for career interceptions among active players in the NCAA at all levels.

Tickets will be on sale from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. through Friday at the Henderson State Athletic Department located at the Duke Wells Center. No phone orders will be accepted. Tickets must be purchased with cash or check only.
All tickets are for general admission seating and are $7 for adults, $5 for students from participating institutions with valid school identification and $5 for children K through 12.
HSU student tickets will be provided by Henderson State University with students able obtain tickets at the Residence Life Office in Womack Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All faculty and staff must purchase tickets.
In accordance with NCAA policy, no passes of any kind, including Arkansas Activities Association, Great American Conference and HSU lifetime passes will be accepted.
Gates for Saturday's game will open at 10 a.m. with the ticket windows opening at 9:30 a.m.
