In a high scoring affair, the Henderson State women's basketball team fell 96-83 at Southeastern Oklahoma in a Great American Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon in Durant, Okla.

The Reddies (7-14, 5-10 GAC) trailed 53-41 at half, after the Savage Storm(15-7, 8-6) knocked down 19-of-37 first half attempts from the field for 51 percent shooting.

The closest HSU would pull in the second half would be within three points at the 3:56 mark on Jasmine Settles layup, making the score 83-80 in favor of SOSU.

However, HSU only managed to score 3 points for the remainder of the game as SOSU was able to extend the lead, mainly from the free throw stripe.

Southeastern Oklahoma saw six players score in double figures in the win, and knocked down 25-of-31 free throw attempts for 81 percent.

After being outrebounded by 13 against East Central in Thursday's game, the Reddies had a much better rebound outing against SOSU, as both teams pulled down 42 boards each.

Aungelique Sledge led the way for the Reddies with 27 points on 9-of-22 field goal attempts, and knocked down three 3-pointers to go along with seven rebounds.

Dulincia Keener pitched in 18 points and nine boards, while Haleigh Henson contributed 11 including three 3-pointers.

After scoring 40 points in the first meeting back on Nov. 20 at the Duke Wells Center, SOSU's Emily Williams had her way once again dropping 33 points on 11-of-19 attempts from the field, and also pulled down 10 boards in a double-double effort.

The Reddies will return home on Thursday, taking on Southern Nazarene in another GAC contest, with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. at the Duke Well Center.
