Box Score 2 Kiersten Seahorn hit a three-run home run to lead Henderson State to a 6-2 win in game two of a double-header over Southern Arkansas, Saturday in Magnolia.

The Lady Muleriders, 12-7 overall and 6-3 in the Great American Conference, took the first game of the double-header 7-2.

Henderson State, 12-7 and 3-3 in league play, put together four straight hits to begin game two of the series.

Tricia Hock led off the game with an infield single, but was caught stealing later in the inning.

Caroline Cullins and
Sarah Gipson then followed with singles before Seahorn hit her third home run of the year to put the Reddies on top 3-0.

SAU would score a run in the second, but the Reddies would answer with a run in the bottom half of the inning as
Amy Halter singled and would score on a Lady Mulerider throwing error.

Henderson would add two more runs in the third-inning as
Ashlyn White hit her fifth home run of the year, scoring Seahorn on the play who singled to lead off the inning.

White picked up the win in the circle for the Reddies, pitching five innings while striking out four batters to improve to 5-2 on the year.

Southern Arkansas got home runs from Maddie Dow and Ashton Atwell to win the opener.

Henderson State managed nine hits in the game but left 11 runners on base.

Gipson had three hits in the game, while Hock and Cullins had two hits each.

Henderson State outhit Southern Arkansas in the two games with 20 safeties, while SAU totaled 14.

Gipson was 5-for-7 on the day, while Cullins was 3-for-7 and Hock 3-for-8.

The two teams will finish the series with a double-header on Sunday in Magnolia beginning at 11 a.m.
