One game after clinching a Great American Conference Tournament berth, the Henderson State women's basketball team will travel to Russellville on Thursday to take on 14
th ranked Arkansas Tech with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
HSU's last game was Monday as the Reddies defeated Ouachita 79-68.
Henderson State(10-8 GAC) was led by 
Haleigh Henson who had 18 points and knocked down five three-pointers.
Dulincia Keener pitched in 14 points in the win, while 
Victoria Stewart added 12 points.
Also scoring in double-figures were 
Brittany Branum, 
Moe Bedford, and 
Makyndra Simmons as they all had 11 points.
The Reddies shot an impressive 53 percent from the field in the contest, including 9-of-16 from beyond-the-arc and also dished out 20 team assists against Ouachita.
Arkansas Tech comes in off their first conference loss of the season to Harding in a two-overtime thriller on Monday night in Searcy, and sport a 17-1 record in the GAC.
The Golden Suns were led by Fatima Adams with 33 points and 17 rebounds, while Anissa Pounds followed with 18 points in the losing effort.
Harding would limit ATU to 39 percent shooting from the field on 29-of-74 attempts, and also forced 18 Golden Sun turnovers in the contest.
In the last meeting between Henderson State and Arkansas Tech, HSU fell 87-64 at the Duke Wells Center back on Jan. 21.
Haleigh Henson led the Reddies with 17 points, while 
Torrie Thompson had 13 and 
Makyndra Simmons had 10.
Henderson finished the game shooting 37 percent from the field knocking down 21-of-57 shot attempts, while ATU was 30-of-72 for 42 percent.
Fatima Adams led Arkansas Tech with 31 points, while Anissa Pounds had 13 points.
ATU would also out-rebound HSU 48-34. In the turnover battle, HSU finished with 14 while ATU had 13 miscues.
This season, Henderson State is 5-9 in road games, with victories over Southern Nazarene, Oklahoma Baptist, Northwestern Oklahoma, Harding, and Ouachita.
ATU leads the all-time series over HSU 65-29. The first time the  two schools played each other was in the 1971-72 season, as HSU took a 55-52  victory.
