In the midst of rainy weather conditions, the series between Henderson State and East Central softball teams will begin a four-game Great American Conference series at Dee White Field with two games on Sunday and two on Monday and first pitch set for Noon on both days.

Henderson State comes into the contest off of a non-conference double-header victory at Christian Brothers on Tuesday, and sport a 11-13 overall and 2-10 conference record.

Ashlyn White, fifth in the GAC in on-base percentage and eighth in RBI with 21, leads HSU with a .355 batting average and has cranked out 22 hits on the year including five home runs.

Also having a strong season so far is lead-off Courtney Warren who has 24 hits and sports a .348 batting average.

Both White and Warren have seven multiple-hit games this season.

From the circle, Michelle Sorensen(7-6) is 4^th in the GAC in strkeouts with 65 and holds a 3.48 ERA in 12 starts.

The Reddies are 3-2 at home this season, while ECU is 3-2 on the road.

East Central is led by Taylor Davis who has 28 hits on the season and a .431 hitting percentage, while Autumn Suydam is second on the team with a .365 average and 23 hits.

Lauren Reeves leads the team in RBI with 13, and has plated 12 times this year.
