Coming off a Great American Conference series split with East Central last weekend, the Henderson State softball team will take on Arkansas Monticello in another GAC four-game series beginning Friday at 5 p.m. at Dee White Field.
The two teams will play a double-header on Friday, then again on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
This season,
Courtney Warren leads the way for HSU(13-15, 4-12 GAC) with a .337 batting average, cranking out 28 hits and blasting seven doubles to lead both categories.
Ashlyn White leads the team in RBI with 22, and also has 24 hits on the year including five home-runs to pace the Reddies.
In the last 10 contests, senior
Morgan South has compiled an impressive .423 batting average with 11 hits, nine RBI and two homers and has had the hot hand recently for HSU.

Michelle Sorensen holds an 8-7 record and 3.35 ERA, while
Madison Calvert is 5-7 and has struck out 27 batters.
For Monticello(17-9, 12-4 GAC), the Cotton Blossoms are led by Holly Wilmarth who sports a .407 hitting percentage and leads the team with 35 hits and 25 RBI.
McKenzie Rice has also had a solid season scoring 26 runs and batting at a .376 percentage.
Kendra Coleman holds a 7-5 record for UAM pitching, while Elizabeth Delafield has also been a strong outing with a 6-3 record and 2.46 ERA.
