The Henderson State softball team will take on Southwestern Oklahoma in a Great American Conference double-header on Friday, with first pitch set for 4 p.m. at Dee White Field.

HSU comes in off a double-header loss to Ouachita on Tuesday, and will look to bounce back against SWOSU, who are just 2-11 in road contests this season.

The Reddies are 8-6 in home games this season, and are led by junior Ashlyn White with a .366 batting average.

The Longview, Texas native has crushed 10 homers over the wall this season, and holds a .683 slugging percentage.

White has also been walked a league-leading 31 times this season, and is on an 11-game hitting streak.

With 23 RBI, Keirsten Seahorn is second on the team in that category while White leads HSU with 38.

Courtney Warren leads the Reddies with 38 hits this season, and has cranked out 10 doubles which is tied for third in the GAC.

From the circle, Michelle Sorensen has seen most of the work for HSU this season, holding a 11-10 record and 3.41 ERA.

SWOSU brings in a 11-15 conference record after sweeping Northwestern Oklahoma in a home double-header on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs are led by Taya Haney who has a .366 batting average with six home runs and 28 RBI.

Taylor Eaves has seen the majority of the work from the circle, holding a 4-6 record, while Haney is 5-9 in 18 appearances.

HSU leads the series 13-6 over the Bulldogs, and won the last contest 8-3 a season ago.
