Henderson State battled but fell short to Southeastern Oklahoma as the Savage Storm beat the Reddies 6-3 in women's tennis in Durant, Okla.
The Reddies, 9-7 overall and 2-2 in the Great American Conference, won one of the doubles matches as Southeastern, ranked No. 9 in the region, took a 2-1 advantage into singles play.
At No. 1 doubles, the duo of
Annie Shannon and
Amanda Korinihona turned in an impressive 8-6 win over Alexsandra Reljic and Darija Catipovic (SOSU) 8-6 to improve to 13-2 on the year.
Shannon continued her brilliant play at No. 1 singles as she beat Anna Buiukian 6-2, 6-3 who is ranked No.6 regionally. Shannon improved to 12-1 on the year.

Sydnee Parker recorded Henderson's other win in singles action beating Darija Catipovic  6-1, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles improving to 10-3 overall and 4-0 in GAC play.
Henderson returns home Wednesday to face Southern Nazarene at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center with the first serve set for 1 p.m.
