The Henderson State women's softball team will take on Southern Nazarene in Great American Conference action at Dee White Field on Friday for its final home weekend series of the season, with first pitch set for 5 p.m.
HSU(26-22, 17-19 GAC) and SNU(22-24, 13-21 GAC) will play a double-header on Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. double-header on Saturday where lone senior
Morgan South will be recognized for her time as a Reddie.
This season,
Ashlyn White leads all HSU players with a .402 batting average to go along with 15 home runs, ranking second in the Great American Conference and tied-for-first in single-season homers in HSU history.
White also ranks second in the conference in RBI(47) and slugging percentage(.795).
In the last 10 games, White is batting at a whopping .538 percent, including five homers, 14 hits, three doubles, and a .684 on-base percentage in 26 at-bats.
Courtney Warren has also had a strong season, cranking out 50 hits and holding a .329 average.
Against Ouachita on Tuesday,
Caroline Cullins blasted an inside-the-park home run and leads the Reddies with 16 stolen bases on the year, ranking sixth in the GAC.
Keirsten Seahorn holds a .307 batting average and has collected 36 RBI on the year, and is second on the team with seven home runs.
From the circle,
Michelle Sorensen is 15-10 on the season with a 3.30 ERA, while
Madison Calvert holds a 10-10 record in 25 appearances.
SNU is led by Sam Smith, who sports a .343 average, cranking out 46 hits and 35 RBI on the year.
