Henderson State faced one of the best teams in the region with the Bison winning 7-2 in women's tennis action Friday in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Oklahoma Baptist, ranked No. 4 in the region improved to 17-2 on the season and 7-0 in the Great American Conference, while the Reddies fell to 10-8 and 3-3.

The Bison took a 3-0 lead entering singles play as OBU won all three doubles matches.

Henderson did claim two singles matches with
Annie Shannon beating Anastasiya Baranova 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.

Shannon improved 14-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

At No. 3 singles,
Sydnee Parker remained perfect in league play with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 win over Olivia Charvat. Parker moved her record to 12-3 overall and 6-0 in the GAC.

The Reddies will finish regular-season play on Sunday when they face Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark.
