Clinching a birth to the Great American Conference tournament with a win over Southern Nazarene last weekend, the Henderson State softball team will look to improve its seeding at Oklahoma Baptist for a four-game conference series beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.
HSU(29-23, 20-20 GAC) is 7-3 in its last ten contests, and is led by junior
Ashlyn White who holds a .395 batting average on the season.
White, a Longview, Texas native, is tied for the single-season record in home-runs with 15, needing just one more for the all-time record at HSU.
She also sports an impressive .783 slugging percentage, and leads the nation in walks with 53.
Also holding a strong batting average is sophomore catcher
Courtney Warren at .319, leading the Reddies with 53 hits and 12 doubles.
Keirsten Seahorn also bats above a .300 average at .311, cranking out seven homers and 10 doubles on the year, while
Caroline Cullins is sixth in the GAC and leads HSU with 18 stolen bases.

Michelle Sorensen holds a 3.05 ERA with a 17-10 record, pitching 18 complete games for the Reddies this season, while
Madison Calvert is 11-11 on the year.
Oklahoma Baptist is led by Shalee Cordell who has a batting average of .312 to go along with 49 hits.
