Henderson State will attempt to carry its momentum into a four-game Great American Conference series at Northwestern Oklahoma, beginning Friday at 4 p.m.
The teams will play two games on Friday, and begin another double-header again on Saturday with first pitch set for Noon in Alva, Okla.
HSU comes in off an impressive series sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma last weekend, and sport a 13-17 conference record, while NWOSU is 6-22 in the GAC.
This season,
Ashlyn White leads the Reddies with a .382 batting average, cranking out 12 home runs and 42 hits.
White is tied for second in HSU history in single-season home runs, and needs three more to tie Kelcie Glidden's all-time record of 15.
Courtney Warren holds a .328 average, leading HSU with 28 runs scored and 42 hits as well.
Caroline Cullins has 14 stolen bases on the year, while
Morgan South has 10 to go along with 35 hits and 18 RBI.
From the circle,
Michelle Sorensen sports a 13-10 record and 3.23 ERA.
The sophomore has struck out 131 batters for an average of 7.7 per game.
HSU currently sits in 7
th place in the conference standings and behind East Central(16-14), while Arkansas Tech remains in first place with a 26-2 record.
