Henderson State will travel to Durant, Okla. to face GAC leading and 19th-ranked Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday with kickoff set for 2 p.m.
Â
SOSU is off to its best start at 6-0 since 1988 when the Savage Storm went 9-0 in the regular-season as part of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference and members of the NAIA.
Meanwhile, Henderson will be attempting to add to its NCAA Division II record road win streak as the Reddies have won 29 straight road contests.
Â
Henderson State will have to contend with a Savage Storm offense that averages 447.5 yards and 37.0 points per game, ranking second in the GAC in both categories.
Â
SOSU had some nail-biters this season with the Storm winning four of its six contests by seven points or less.Â
Â
The Savage Storm uses two quarterbacks with Austin Skinner getting the start and Rollin Kinsaul also seeing action.
Â
Skinner, a transfer from Division I FCS Northwestern State, has completed 33-of-56 passes for 440 yards including a season-best 262 yards in last week's win against Southwestern Oklahoma.
Â
Kinsaul didn't play last week, but the sophomore from Andalusia, Ala. has completed 47-of-77 passes for 561 yards including 231 yards in the win over Ouachita Baptist.           Â
Rashod Polk leads the SOSU rushing attack averaging 82.8 yards per contest which ranks third in the GAC. The freshman from Arlington, Texas has 78 carries for 497 yards and four touchdowns including a 201-yard performance two weeks ago against Northwestern Oklahoma.
Â
Drake White and Jaylen Sims lead the SOSU receivers with White having a team-best 353 yards on 17 receptions and three touchdowns, while Sims' numbers include 239 yards on 19 grabs.
SOSU doesn't make many mistakes as the Savage Storm leads the league in turnover margin at plus-12, committing just four miscues (1 fumble/3 interceptions) while forcing 16 turnovers.
Â
Henderson will need a solid offensive game as the Savage Storm leads the league defensively allowing just 20.7 points per contest while allowing 353.3 yards per game, ranking third in the GAC.
Â
Defensive back Troy Parker is SOSU's top defender with 36 tackles and one interception. Linebacker Hunter Powell follows having 29 stops including 3.0 tackles for lost yardage.
Â
Cornerback Luke Craddock is one of the top defensive backs in the league with nine passes defended including an interception and eight breakups. The junior from Mount Pleasant, Texas also has 21 tackles for the year.
  Â

Â
Evan Lassiter has started the last three games at quarterback for the Reddies and has completed 60 percent of his passes (90-of-149) for 836 yards and four touchdowns.

Â
Malik Brown follows with 41 tackles including 32 solo stops. The junior defensive back from Huntsville, Texas has three interceptions and four pass break-ups.
Â
The Reddies lead the all-time series with a 21-6 advantage including a 13-11 win last year in Arkadelphia.
Henderson State has won the last seven games and 10 of the last 12 over the Storm. The Reddies owned the series from 1968 to 1979 winning nine straight before Southeastern ended the streak with a 32-14 win in 1980.
