Henderson State picked up its first win of the season as the Reddies tennis team beat Delta State, 7-2 Sunday in Arkadelphia, Ark.
 
The Reddies, 1-2 on the year, started the match by winning a pair of doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead entering singles play.
 
Annie Shannon and Alexandra Cuello started things at No. 1 doubles by easily beating Delta State's Sara Alvarez-Rubio and Charlotte Le Flohic 8-1.
 
Mariah Bartlett and Lauren Miller picked up their first win as doubles partners at No. 3  doubles as the duo downed Sarah Nash and Segura 8-1.
 
Shannon continued her winning trend at No. 1 singles in cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Nathalia Sato.
 
At No. 2 singles, Henderson's Thea Minor and Delta State's Charlotte Le Flohic battled in a three set match with Minor winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

Lorraine Banimataku won her first set at No. 3 singles before Delta's Sara Alvarez-Rubio retired due to injury.
 
HSU's Mariah Bartlett  lost  only one game to Sarah Nash and went on to win 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles, while Maddie McJunkins swept her opponent at No. 6 single beating Segura 6-0, 6-0.
