Henderson State had a busy 24 hours as the Reddies women's tennis team played three matches recording a 6-3 win over North Central Texas College.

The Reddies, playing without the services of two of their top players, lost a match to Mississippi College 9-0 Friday afternoon, before beating NTSC Saturday morning and losing later in the afternoon to Maryville University 7-2.

Against North Central Texas College, Henderson swept through doubles play with

Lorraine Banimataku and Thea Minor starting things with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles over Essence Green and Anna Baksh.

At No. 2 doubles, Mariah Bartlett and Lauren Miller cruised to an 8-1 win over Ann Zilles and Ana Orozco, while Maddie McJunkins and Sara Griffin won at No. 3 double by a score of 8-2 over Nikita Hill and Beatriz Galvez.

In singles play Minor defeated Orozco 8-4 at No. 1, while at No. 2 singles Banimataku cruised to an 8-1 win over Green.

Sara Griffin played at No. 6 singles and got past Galvez 8-5.

Henderson's two wins against Maryville included a doubles victory by Lorraine Banimataku and Thea Minor at No. 1 doubles over Rebekah Anderson and Puck Vlaskamp 8-6.

Banimataku also won her singles match at No. 2 defating Puck Vlaskamp 4-6, 6-2 (10-5).

Henderson will next travel to Russellville on Tuesday to take on Arkansas Tech with the first serve set for 2 p.m.
