LIVE STATS | LIVE VIDEO | LIVE AUDIO

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Just days removed from notching two big road victories in Oklahoma, the Henderson State women's basketball team returns to Arkadelphia to face perennial Great American Conference power Arkansas Tech on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. in the Duke Wells Center.

Last Time Out:
Henderson picked up two of its biggest wins of the season last weekend in Oklahoma by defeating East Central 82-78 and Southeastern Oklahoma State 56-49. Both teams entered the weekend ahead of the Reddies in the GAC standings. HSU got out to a 19-point lead early in the second half against the Tigers and saw it slowly evaporate over the second half, but got bigs plays late from Haleigh Henson, Hailey Estes and Pink Jones to rally and get the win. On Saturday in Durant, Oklahoma, Henderson trailed at the halftime break, but used a strong third quarter to open up a lead on SOSU and then held the Savage Storm at bay in the game's final moments to come back to Arkansas with two big victories. The wins carried the Reddies to 8-4 overall, 4-2 in GAC action and extended Henderson's winning streak to four games.

Reddies Report:
- Sophomore Pink Jones was fabulous for the Reddies against East Central, pouring in a career-high 25 points in the win, and then followed it up with 12 against the Savage Storm. The Fayetteville-native Jones' 14.9 points per game ranks eighth in the GAC.

- Senior Haleigh Henson is 11th in the league in scoring with an average of 13.6 points per game, eighth in assists per game (3.0) and her 34 3-pointers made is second-most in the league. Henson, who hails from Fort Smith, Arkansas, hit a massive 3-pointer late against ECU to tie the game up for the Reddies and then another on Saturday against SOSU to help HSU maintain momentum.

- Sophomore Hailey Estes put together two huge games for the Reddies this past weekend. Against ECU, Estes, a native of Conway, Arkansas, racked up 16 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, then followed that showing up with a 10-point, 15-rebound performance against Southeastern. After her work on the boards this weekend, Estes is the GAC-leader in rebounds per game against league opponents (10.5) and averages 8.7 defensive rebounds per contest, the best mark in the conference.

- Bree Bossier ranks third in the GAC in field goal percentage (51.3 percent) and is 40-for-78 from the floor so far this season. The senior from Fairfield, Texas, shot 60 percent from the field during the Oklahoma road trip after shooting 6-of-10 from the floor and scoring 10 points against ECU and six against Southeastern.

- Torrie Thompson had one of her best games of the season on Saturday against SOSU, scoring 20 points, 12 of which came in the first half, to help jumpstart the Reddies' offense in the win. Thompson, who hails from Houston, Texas, averages double figures in scoring for HSU with 11 points per game.

- Freshman Lani Snowden ranks fifth in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (44.4 percent). The Van Buren product has cashed in on 12-of-27 attempts this year from beyond the arc.

- Henderson State as a team ranks third in the GAC in scoring defense, allowing just 67.7 points per game to opponents, and is fifth in scoring offense (74.2 points per game). That scoring margin of plus 6.5 is the third-best mark in the conference.

- The Reddies are shooting 41.1 percent from the floor this season (fifth in the GAC) and 35.1 percent from the 3-point line (third in the GAC). HSU is the best team in the league in defending the 3-point line and is holding its opponents to 25.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc in conference games this year.

Scouting Arkansas Tech:
- The Golden Suns are 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the GAC so far this season. They are led by head coach Dave Wilbers, who has directed them to a 143-46 record during his 10 years in Russellville. They are 5-0 on the road this season and have won the last eight meetings between the two schools. Henderson has defeated the Golden Suns just twice since 2007, with the last victory coming in January of 2014.

- Tech is led by freshman Jayana Sanders, who averages 16.4 points per game (fifth in the GAC) and is the leading freshman scorer in the league, and junior forward Lyrik Williams, who averages 13 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Freshman Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse and senior Cheyenne North round out the double figure scorers for the Golden Suns. Stackhouse averages 12.3 points per game, while North chips in 10.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

- The Golden Suns bolster the best scoring offense in the GAC and are fifth-best in all of NCAA DII in scoring with an average of 85 points per game. Tech is also tops in the conference and fourth in the country in rebounds per game (47.9), which spikes up to 48.8 per game in GAC play, and has a scoring margin of plus 10.3 in league games.

Last Season vs. Arkansas Tech:
- The Reddies dropped both contests last season with the Golden Suns, but both were close games. Henderson fell 68-62 in the first meeting in Russellville, Arkansas, and 82-73 later in the season at home in Arkadelphia.

- In the first meeting, HSU had a 31-28 halftime advantage but Tech out-scored the Reddies 27-16 in the third quarter before holding on late for the win. Henson, Estes and Torrie Thompson all chipped in 13 points on the night.

- After Tech built a 17-point lead entering the fourth period of the second meeting, HSU came back to bring the score within two points with three minutes to go, but ultimately fell despite the valiant late rally. The Golden Suns shot 52.9 percent from the floor in the game, while Thompson led Henderson with 17 points.
