ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State, after notching two more Great American Conference wins last week, takes to the road to face Oklahoma Baptist at 5:30 p.m. in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on Thursday.

Last Time Out
- Henderson State had five players score in double figures on Saturday afternoon and used a big run over the last five minutes of the game to pull away and defeat Northwestern Oklahoma State 78-61 in the Duke Wells Center.

- NWOSU found ways to hang around for most of the second half against the Reddies and with 5:38 to play, the Lady Rangers pulled within 63-57 — the closest they had come all afternoon. At that moment, though, Henderson (13-6, 9-4) kicked it into gear, and used back-to-back 3-pointers from Hailey Estes and Blu Jones to jump-start a 15-1 run over the final five minutes. The run stretched a once-six point lead out to 20 and helped the Reddies streak away for their ninth GAC win of the year. The win helps HSU remain alone in third place in the GAC standings at 9-4, just two games behind Arkansas Tech and three full games ahead of Oklahoma Baptist, who is fourth.

- All five starters for Henderson scored in double digits on the afternoon. Hailey Estes led the way with 18 and five boards, Pink Jones had 15 with six assists and five rebounds, while Blu Jones finished with a career-high 14. Bree Bossier continued her stellar play, chipping in a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double and Haleigh Henson was the final double figure scorer for the Reddies as she finished with 11.

- The Reddies' defense was again fantastic as they held NWOSU 40 percent shooting from the floor and 27.3 percent shooting in the fourth quarter. Henderson again out-rebounded a bigger team, this time 34-29, and finished an impressive 14-of-15 at the free throw line while shooting just under 50 percent from the floor. HSU also shared the ball well all afternoon and racked up 14 assists as a team to just three for the Lady Rangers.

Reddies Report
- Pink Jones ranks third in the GAC in scoring (16.3 points per game), eighth in assists (3.4 per game), seventh in steals per game (1.9) and 10th in field goal percentage (47.3 percent).

- Haleigh Henson is scoring 13.3 points per game for Henderson (13th in the GAC) and is second in the conference in 3-pointers this season with 51. Henson needs just six more 3-pointers to break the GAC record for 3-pointers made in a career (268, Anissa Pounds, Arkansas Tech). In addition to her shooting prowess, Henson is fifth in the GAC in minutes played per game (33.4).

- Hailey Estes is second in the league in rebounding with an average of 8.8 boards per game and leads the GAC in defensive rebounding (7.1 defensive rebounds per game). She has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in half of this season's contests and has scored in double figures eight times.

- Blu Jones has stepped it up for the Reddies as of late and is 9-for-16 from the floor in Henderson's last two contests, scoring 11 and 14 points. Her 25 points in the last two games is the most she has scored in back-to-back games in her career. Jones also played a season-high 36 minutes on Saturday against NWOSU after not playing 30 or more minutes in a game this year.

- Bree Bossier ended last week with the two best games of her career, putting up 17 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks against SWOSU, and following it up with 14 points and 13 rebounds against NWOSU. Bossier was 17-for-26 from the floor in the Reddies' three games last week and played more than 32 minutes against both SWOSU and NWOSU.

- Henderson as a team has the best scoring defense in the GAC, allowing just 64.2 points per game to its opponents, and is also tops in 3-point field goal defense (26.5 percent). The Reddies are third in field goal percentage defense (38 percent) and fourth in the GAC in scoring offense (72.1 points per game). HSU has a scoring margin of plus 7.8 this season in conference games.

Scouting Oklahoma Baptist
- The Lady Bison enter Thursday night's contest 11-8 overall and 6-7 in GAC action, which leaves them tied for fourth place in the conference standings, three games behind the Reddies. OKBU is led by head coach Casi Bays who has led her alma mater to a 106-69 record in six seasons at the helm of the program.

- OKBU is led by junior guard McKenzie Cooper, who is second in the GAC in scoring (17.8 points per game) and is the premier 3-point shooter in the conference. Cooper is an astounding 62-of-120 from beyond the 3-point line this season (51.7 percent). The Lady Bison also boast senior forward Tasha Edge, who led the GAC in double-doubles last season, and averages 15.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting 81.5 percent from the free throw line.

- The Lady Bison have one of the best offenses in the GAC and average 78.1 points per game on 42.6 percent shooting, both of which rank second in the conference. However, OKBU struggles on the defensive end of the floor and ranks last in the league in both scoring defense (79.5 points per game allowed to GAC opponents) and field goal percentage defense (44.9 percent).

- OKBU is a very good shooting team at the free throw line. The Lady Bison shoot 79.6 percent from the stripe this season, which is best in the GAC.

First Matchup with Oklahoma Baptist
- Henderson led 40-27 at halftime against the Lady Bison in the first meeting of the season in Arkadelphia and pulled away in the second half to defeat OKBU 85-61. The Reddies were led by Torrie Thompson's 22 points and shot 50.7 percent from the field as a team in the win. Haleigh Henson notched a big milestone in the December contest as well, scoring her 1000th point on a jumper early in the first quarter.
