ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Days removed from notching its 15th win of the season, the Henderson State women's basketball team looks to continue its winning ways when it faces Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday in the Duke Wells Center at 5:30 p.m.

Last Time Out
- Behind a double-double from Bree Bossier and some big plays late, Henderson State got past Southern Nazarene 63-57 on Saturday afternoon to claim its 15th win of the season — the most for the program since 2010-11.

- After trailing by four at halftime, SNU gained some ground in the third quarter to send the game into the fourth with the score locked at 42-42. With just under three minutes to play in the game, SNU finally broke the tie and took a 57-56 lead on a free throw from Alexus Jones. It would be the Crimson Storm's last point of the afternoon, as the Reddies held them scoreless for the rest of the contest.

- On the next possession for Henderson (15-6, 11-4), freshman Lani Snowden was fouled and calmly hit two free throws to push HSU in front 58-57. After another stop, Hailey Estes found some room in the lane and drained a 10-foot runner to stretch the lead out to 60-57 with 1:44 remaining. The two teams traded empty possessions and a Reddies turnover gave the Crimson Storm a chance to tie with less than 30 seconds to play, but Blu Jones stole the SNU inbounds pass and after being fouled, hit one at the line to make it a two-possession game. A desperation 3-pointer from the Crimson Storm drew iron and Estes iced the game at the line seconds later to help Henderson survive and clinch its 11th Great American Conference win of the season.

Reddies Report
- Henderson is 11-4 in GAC play this season and all alone in third place in the conference standings, one game behind Arkansas Tech and four full games ahead of fourth place Oklahoma Baptist. The top eight teams in the GAC at season's end will head to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, for the GAC Tournament on March 1-4.

- The Reddies' 15 wins this season are the most for the program since 2010-11. The most GAC wins Henderson has had in a season is 13, which happened back in 2015-16.

- Pink Jones remains third in the GAC in scoring (16.3 points per game), ninth in the league in shooting percentage (47.6 percent) and seventh in assists per game (3.7). Jones is shooting just under 77 percent at the free throw line this season as well; a huge increase from last year when she shot just 63.3 percent from the stripe.

- With two 3-pointers in the second half on Saturday, Haleigh Henson tied the GAC record for 3-pointers in a career with 268. She has a chance to break the record on Thursday. Henson averages 13 points per game (15th in the GAC) and is second in the league in 3-pointers (56).

- Bree Bossier has been on a tear recently for the Reddies and has vaulted herself up to second in the GAC in field goal percentage (52.5 percent) and 11th in rebounding (6.8 per game). Bossier has scored in double figures for the last five games and has notched double-doubles in three of those contests. In her last five games, she is 29-of-47 from the floor (61.7 percent shooting).

- Blu Jones has stepped into a big role for Henderson in the last couple of weeks and has scored in double figures for the last four games — the longest streak of double figure scoring games in her career. Jones has notched a career-high 14 points twice in those four games, including on Saturday against SNU, where she also played a season-high 36 minutes.

- Hailey Estes is currently second in the GAC in rebounding (8.7 per game) and has scored in double figures in three-straight contests. Estes played all 40 minutes against both SWOSU and Oklahoma Baptist and has played 30 minutes or more in 12 of the last 13 games for Henderson.

- The Reddies now have the second-best scoring margin in the conference at plus 7.6 against GAC opponents. Henderson also ranks second in the league in field goal percentage in conference games (42.7 percent) and continue to lead the GAC in scoring defense (64.2 points per game), field goal percentage defense (37.6 percent) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (27 percent).

Scouting Southeastern Oklahoma State
- SOSU enters Thursday night's contest 9-11 overall and 7-8 in GAC play. They are led by head coach Darin Grover, who has amassed a 241-133 record in Durant, Oklahoma, since taking the job in 2005.

- The Savage Storm are led by senior forward Emem David, who averages 10.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 46.1 percent from the field. Storm senior guard Sa' Liesha Hunter is fifth in the GAC in assists per game (4.2) while sophomore Courtney Brady is fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (42.7 percent).

- As a team, SOSU is one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the GAC (37.3 percent) and also one of the league's top defensive squads, as the Savage Storm rank third in the conference in scoring defense (69 points per game). They are last in the league, however, in blocked shots (1.3 per game) and steals (4.3 per game).

First Matchup with Southeastern Oklahoma State
- In the first meeting on Jan. 6 in Durant, Oklahoma, Henderson State got 20 points from Torrie Thompson and a double-double from Hailey Estes to fight past Southeastern Oklahoma State 56-49.

- After trailing by two in a first half where neither team shot over 30 percent from the field, the lid finally came off the basket for the Reddies in the third. With the score tied at 31-31, Henderson put together an 11-2 run to seize its biggest lead to that point, 42-33 at the 1:13 mark of the period. The Savage Storm used two late baskets to trim the deficit to 42-37 heading into the game's final 10 minutes, but the damage was done, as the Reddies out-scored Southeastern by seven in the quarter to put themselves in the driver's seat. SOSU closed the gap down to four with just four minutes to go, but Henson canned a big 3-pointer to help the Reddies hold on for the win.
