ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State returns to the friendly confines of home on Saturday evening, when the Reddies welcome Southwestern Oklahoma State to Carpenter-Haygood Stadium and Ruggles Field, with kickoff set for 6 p.m.

TOP STORYLINES: SETTING THE SCENE
- Henderson (1-2) is looking to rebound from its first ever Great American Conference loss in the state of Oklahoma. The Reddies fell last Saturday 30-24 to Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Oklahoma.

- Southwestern Oklahoma State enters Saturday's matchup 1-2 as well, after falling to GAC-leader Southern Arkansas 36-12 last week. The Bulldogs held a 10-7 advantage at halftime. SWOSU has a new head coach this season in former Missouri Western Offensive Coordinator Chet Pobolish. Pobolish was a stand-out wide receiver for Emporia State from 1999-2003 and was a four-time All-MIAA selection.

- The match-up between the Reddies and the Bulldogs features two of the more prominent passing attacks in the Great American Conference. Henderson is third in the league with an average of 286 passing yards per game, while SWOSU is fifth and averages 251.7 yards per game through the air.

- This is the 11th meeting all-time between the two schools. Henderson leads the series 8-2 and has won the last six games in a row over the Bulldogs. SWOSU's last win over the Reddies came in 2011.

- The Reddies have struggled of late in contests played at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium and Ruggles Field. Dating back to 2016, Henderson is just 1-6 in its last seven home games. Even with recent setbacks, the Reddies still hold a record of 31-15 at home since 2010.

REDDIES REPORT
- Wide receiver John Murray was one of the bright spots for Henderson last Saturday in the loss to Northwestern Oklahoma. Murray set new career-highs in catches (9) and receiving yards (176). His 176 receiving yards was the most by any Reddie in a game since 2014, when Darius Davis caught four passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns in a 24-3 win over Arkansas Tech. Murray is second on the team this season with 16 catches for 243 yards.

- Logan Moragne punched in the first two scores of his Henderson career against NWOSU on the ground. Moragne finished with 20 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Reddies' rushing attack. He has 50 carries for 227 yards this season and averages 4.3 yards per carry.

- Richard Stammetti passed for over 300 yards for the second-straight game against NWOSU. He completed 21 of 42 passes for 309 yards, with two intereptions and a touchdown. Stammetti has thrown for 858 yards and seven touchdowns in his first three games under center for the Reddies. At his current pace, he is on track for the sixth-best season ever yardage-wise for a Henderson quarterback.

- Receiver Chase Lodree continues to have a stellar sophomore season. Lodree leads the Reddies with 17 catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns, and is third in the GAC in receiving yards. He averages 94.7 receiving yards per game through three weeks.

- Fourteen different Henderson defenders have registered a tackle for loss this season. Linebackers Cameron Schulz and Kahlil Mitchell are the team leaders with 3.5 tackles for loss each. Cameron Sonnier leads the team in total tackles with 26 stops, and also boasts three tackles for loss and an interception.

- After three games, the Reddies have out-gained their opponents 858-682 through the air, but have been out-gained on the ground 672-291. HSU is 11th in the GAC in rushing offense and averages 97 yards per game.

- Henderson has been perfect when it has moved the ball into the red zone this season (10-for-10). Seven of those 10 scores have been touchdowns. The Reddies are the only team remaining in the GAC with a perfect red zone scoring percentage.

- The Reddies are one of the least penalized teams in the conference thus far. Henderson has just 107 total penalty yards on the year, compared to 261 combined yards for its opponents.

- In the loss to NWOSU, Henderson struggled mightily on third down, and finished 2-for-16 on third down conversions. For the season, the Reddies are just 14-for-48 on third down conversions (29 percent).

- Freshman kicker Temo Martinez is off to a perfect start in his Henderson career. Martinez is 10-for-10 on extra points this season and is 3-for-3 on field goals. His career-long of 34 yards came against NWOSU last Saturday.

SCOUTING SWOSU
- Southwestern Oklahoma State begins a new era for its football program this season, as head coach Chet Pobolish takes over after a stint as the Offensive Coordinator at Missouri Western. The Bulldogs finished 3-8 last season and were picked 10th in the GAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

- SWOSU turned heads in the first week of 2018, when they sprinted past Arkansas-Monticello 49-35. Bulldog quarterback Casey Freeman earned GAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after throwing for 416 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions.

- Since their big win over UAM, the Bulldogs have hit a tough stretch, and have lost their last two contests to Ouachita Baptist (41-8) and Southern Arkansas (36-12).

- The Bulldogs are led offensively by Freeman, who has thrown for 728 yards and nine touchdowns this season. SWOSU running back Kyshawn Richards leads the GAC in all-purpose yards and has 212 rushing yards, 92 receiving yards, and 190 kick return yards this year through three games. Three different receivers have two touchdowns this season for the Bulldogs: Turner Jackson, J.R. Omigie and Jared Rayburn.

- Defensively, SWOSU looks to linebacker Braden Sweet and defensive lineman T.J. Harris. Sweet has 15 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks, while Harris has 14 tackles, two stops for loss and one sack. Linebacker Clay Wilkerson leads the team with 16 tackles on the year.

- SWOSU's last winning season came in 2015, when they went 8-4 in the GAC. Since then, the Bulldogs are 10-16 and have won just three road contests.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING
- Quarterback Evan Lassiter had a big night and Malik Brown had two interceptions to lead Henderson State to a 37-14 win over SWOSU in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

- Lassiter completed 29 of 45 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Two of those scoring tosses went to Darion Gray. Sam Johnson had a sack and got the first points of the night with a safety in the first quarter.

- The win extended the Reddies road-winning streak to 28 games, which was the nation's longest road winning streak at the time.

- Henderson took advantage of three Bulldog interceptions in the win and converted on 8-of-15 third downs in the game.

- The victory gave the Reddies their sixth-straight win over SWOSU dating back to 2011.
