Reddies Travel to Memphis to Face CBU Wednesday

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State (6-3, 2-2) will look to finish the 2019 calendar year with a victory when it takes on Christian Brothers at 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening. It will be HSU's fourth-straight road game, as the Reddies complete the month of December without a contest in the friendly confines of the Duke Wells Center.

REDDIES REPORT
-  The Reddies are looking to get back to winning ways after falling 77-65 to the Arkansas-Monticello Blossoms on Saturday. Senior Hailey Estes led the Reddies with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to UAM. It was the third straight game and fifth time in nine contests that Estes has led HSU in scoring. Estes scored in double figures for the eighth straight time while notching her fourth double-double of the season.

-  Lexis Weber gave the Reddies a big boost off the bench against Monticello, finishing with a career-high 14 points and her first double-double of the season after grabbing 10 rebounds, seven of them offensive.

- Freshman Ashley Farrar showed off her ability to score in bunches last Saturday, providing HSU with 10 of her season-high 14 points in the second quarter. Farrar and Weber were a combined 13-of-25 from the field.

- Henderson State leads the all-time series with Christian Brothers 20-12. The last time these two teams met was the 2010-11 season when the Reddies were members of the Gulf South Conference. HSU swept CBU that season, defeating the Lady Bucs 72-60 in Memphis and 88-74 in Arkadelphia.

SCOUTING CHRISTIAN BROTHERS
- Christian Brothers, (2-5, 1-3) is led by first year head coach Jessie Carmack, who has the tall task of turning around the program which has struggled to establish itself in the competitive Gulf South Conference.

- For Henderson to finish 2019 with a win, they will need to slow down junior guard Brynne Lytle who leads the Gulf South Conference in scoring (19.7 points per game). Lytle rarely takes a seat for the Lady Bucs, averaging a league-leading 38.6 minutes per game. She has played the full 40 minutes in five of CBU's seven contests this season.

- Despite being a team led by guard play, Christian Brothers ranks last in the Gulf South Conference in turnover margin. On average, the Lady Bucs commit 17.9 turnovers per game to their opposition's 12.4 turnovers, a margin of -5.43.

- The last time the Lady Bucs finished a conference season with a winning record was during the 2003-04 season when CBU went 13-3 in the GSC and made it all the way to the NCAA South Regional. Since then, Christian Brothers is just 83-181 in conference play.
