FORT SMITH, Ark. – Sydnee Parker captured a win at No. 1 singles on Sunday afternoon, but Henderson State fell on the road to Arkansas-Fort Smith, 6-1. 

UAFS got off to a quick start and swept all three doubles contests to put one point on the board heading into singles play. Trailing 1-0, the Reddies (2-2) got a win from Parker, who defeated Bianca Koen in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, for her first victory at the No. 1 spot this season, but HSU could not find another win in individual play and fell for the second time this season.

Henderson will return to action on Friday, Feb. 22, versus North Central Texas College at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center.
