ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State returned to action on Friday afternoon to open Great American Conference play and fell to nationally ranked Harding, 7-0.
The Lady Bisons (11-3), who are ranked No. 23 in the latest ITA DII poll, swept the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead into singles.
Unfortunately for Henderson, Harding's early dominance continued into singles play. The Reddies were unable to put a point on the board in the individual matches, as Harding, who boasts three players ranked in the Top-40 in NCAA DII in singles, came away with all six contests to claim the win on the road. The loss drops the Reddies to 3-6 overall and 0-1 in GAC play on the year.Â
Henderson will return to the court on Monday, April 1, when it hosts Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m.
