ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Lauren Miller and Mariah Bartlett got a win for Henderson State at No. 2 doubles on Wednesday, but it was the lone victory of the match for the Reddies, as they fell to Southern Arkansas 7-0 at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center.
Miller and Bartlett coasted against SAU's Serena Gill and Lena Milosevic, taking a 6-1 win -- their fourth of the season as a duo.
Unfortunately for Henderson, the Lady Muleriders took the other two doubles contests to earn the single point and take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
In the individual matches, both Sydnee Parker and Mikayla Braun forced third sets, but SAU proved to be too much, and took all six contests to claim the team win.
The loss drops the Reddies to 3-8 on the year and 0-3 in the Great American Conference. HSU returns to the court on Thursday when it hosts rival Ouachita Baptist at 4 p.m.
