SHAWNEE, Okla. —
Lorish Puluspene snagged a three-set victory at No. 2 singles on Monday, but Henderson State fell to Oklahoma Baptist 6-1 on the road.
Puluspene won a hard-fought 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 battle at the No. 2 slot over OKBU's Ethne Dowling for the Reddies' lone win of the match. The win was the fourth of the season for Puluspene at the No. 2 spot and her fifth singles win overall.
The Lady Bison swept through doubles play to win the single point, before capturing the remaining five individual contests in straight-sets to pick up their eight win of the year.
The loss drops Henderson to 4-9 and 1-4 in Great American Conference play. The Reddies will be back in action tomorrow, when they travel down the road to Durant, Oklahoma, to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State at 3 p.m.
