Reddie Men Prep for Harding Saturday at Home

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State will look to exact some revenge for its first conference loss of the year on Saturday when it hosts Harding at 3 p.m. in the Duke Wells Center.

REDDIES REPORT
- The Reddies (16-7, 11-6) swept rival Ouachita Baptist for the second-straight season on Thursday with an 82-72 win at Bill Vining Arena. HSU closed the game on a 13-5 run to capture the victory and held OBU to under 38% shooting from the floor. Raekwon Rogers, who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, had a huge second half for Henderson after being saddled with foul trouble in the first 20 minutes of the contest.

- With five GAC games remaining on the schedule, Henderson is now in sole possession of second place at 11-6 in the conference standings and is just one game back of both Southeastern Oklahoma State and Southern Nazarene who are 12-5 in league play. The Reddies split with SNU and defeated the Savage Storm 67-63 at home on Jan. 25.

- Four Reddies are currently averaging double figures in scoring: Chris Parker (14.8 points per game), Rel Johnson (11.7), Raekwon Rogers (11.5) and Anthony Lupardus (10.0). A fifth player, Mike Fofana, is averaging 9.8 points per game. Parker is 10th in the GAC in scoring, Rogers leads the conference in field goal percentage (60.2%) and Lupardus is second in 3-point field goal percentage (48.6%). Chris Owens, who has established himself as the sixth man for Henderson, is scoring 8.6 points per contest and is shooting 55.6% from the floor this season.

- As a team, HSU leads the conference in field goal percentage defense (39.9% shooting for opponents) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (30.2%). Harding had one of the most successful shooting games against Henderson of any team this season back in December when it hit 13 3-pointers en route to an 89-77 win.

- Reserve guard Quawn Marshall, who averages 6.3 points and has a team-high 33 steals this season, returned to action on Thursday against OBU. Marshall, a key on-ball defender and role player, did not play in the first meeting with the Bisons in December. Four of the Reddies' six GAC losses have come in games where the Little Rock native either did not play entirely or was forced to retire early due to injury.

SCOUTING HARDING
- The Bisons enter Saturday's matchup 8-15 overall and 3-14 in GAC play. Harding snapped a nine-game skid on Thursday evening at home when it outlasted Arkansas Tech 99-95 in overtime. HU is led by head coach Jeff Morgan, who is the longest tenured coach in the conference at 27 seasons with the program.

- Harding is led offensively by junior guard Romio Harvey, who is third in the GAC in scoring with an average of 21.5 points per game. Harvey had one of his best games of the season against Henderson State on Dec. 7 when he finished with 34 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the floor. The Bisons have five other players who all average eight points per game.

- As a team, HU is ninth in the conference in scoring offense (75.3 points per game) and 11th in scoring defense (81.7 points per game to opponents). The Bisons have struggled with turnovers this season and rank last in the GAC in both turnover margin (-3.00) and turnovers per game (16.4).
