ARKADELPHA, Ark. — The Henderson State tennis team returned to action on Friday and dropped a non-conference affair to Arkansas Tech 6-1 at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center.
Friday afternoon's contest began with three doubles matches, which Arkansas Tech swept to take a quick 1-0 lead into singles play.Â
In singles, Henderson's No. 1 Mulan Kamoe led 6-3, 1-0 when her opponent Michelle Khoo retired from the match to knot the score at 1-1. Lauren Miller took Megan Bell to three sets, but Bell came out on top 6-3, 5-7, 10-5 and Arkansas Tech retook a 2-1 advantage.Â
It was all Golden Suns from there, as they would go on to win the next four singles matches to secure a 6-1 win.
The Reddies return to action on Saturday Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. to face the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center.Â
