ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The Reddies enter the Great American Conference Tournament as the No. 5 seed for the second-straight season and will take on the No. 4 seed Southern Nazarene at 5:45 p.m. in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in the league quarterfinals.

REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson State (19-9, 14-8) wrapped up another successful regular season last Saturday with a 73-58 victory at East Central which snapped the Tigers' five-game winning streak. The Reddies have now won 57 regular season games over the last three years, the most successful stretch since 2005-06 to 2007-08 when Henderson won 60 regular season contests.

- HSU has also won 43 conference games in the past three seasons – the only GAC team to win more games in that timeframe is Southwestern Oklahoma State.

-  Hailey Estes capped a terrific senior campaign by earning All-GAC First Team honors on Wednesday night. Estes will graduate from Henderson State as the program's all-time rebounding leader with 958 career rebounds entering the postseason. Against East Central in the final game of the season, Estes became the fourth player in HSU history to score 1400 points. The Conway native also finishes the regular season second all-time in 3-point field goals (284), and fourth in blocks (59) and in steals (189).

-  Pink Jones earned All-GAC honors for the fourth time on Wednesday when she was named to the 2019-20 All-GAC Second Team. Jones will leave Arkadelphia as the school's all-time assists leader with 471 career assists entering the GAC Tournament. Entering the postseason, Jones is also second all-time in Henderson history in points (1573) and free throws made (383) while ranking fourth in steals (224), and sixth in blocks (53).

-  Karrington Whaley ended the season as Henderson's second leading scorer and rebounder at 12.8 points and 8.2 boards per game while leading HSU with 43 blocks. The Springdale native also led the conference in field goal percentage for the second straight season, shooting 56.2% from the floor.

-  Lani Snowden solidified herself as one of the nation's top 3-point marksmen, knocking down 63 3-point field goals at a 45.3% clip which ranked second in the GAC and 12th in Division II. Snowden's 3-point shooting percentage is the best single season mark for any player with at least 100 attempts in program history.

-  If the GAC awarded a "Sixth Man of the Year," Henderson's Maci Mains would be one of the front-runners. The sophomore started just one game this season, but was still the third leading scorer on the squad at 12.2 points per game. Mains also got to the free throw line more than any of her teammates, shooting 75.5% on 102 attempts.

-  The Reddies and the Crimson Storm split the two regular season meetings with each team winning at home. In Arkadelphia, Henderson State used a 10-3 second quarter run to build a lead before an 8-0 run in the fourth frame gave HSU a 14-point cushion and a comfortable 71-59 victory. In Bethany, the Reddies went on a 13-0 fourth quarter run to take a 64-58 with approximately two minutes left. However, Henderson did not score for the rest of regulation as SNU sent it to overtime on a game-tying basket from Alexus Jones. The Reddies were unable to recover in the extra period and fell 79-71.

-  In the two regular season meetings, Henderson's defense did an excellent job on SNU's leading scorer Jaycee Soap. Soap shot a combined 5-for-20 from the field against HSU this season, but had two excellent games in the last weekend regular season, averaging 14 points on 56% shooting.

-  For the second straight season, Southern Nazarene will bring the league's stingiest scoring defense into postseason play. Led by Abby Niehues and Myriam Garcia who combine to average 4.6 blocks per game, the SNU defense is giving up just 59.1 points and is the only team in the league giving up less than 60 points.

-  Poor free throw shooting could be a factor for Southern Nazarene in the postseason. The Crimson Storm shot just 63.3% at the charity stripe this season and are 56.7% from the line over the last five games.
